Hotel Carol is located on the boundary of the Libeň and Vysočany quarters in Prague 9. It is certainly worth discovering the other parts of Prague in addition to the centre. In this originally working-class and factory quarter, a new, modern Prague is under development.
In recent years, the new building of the Prague 9 town hall and extensive residential quarters have been built. The beautiful section of Podvinný mlýn was reconstructed, you can reach it conveniently by walking approximately 250m from the hotel. It is a true green oasis of peace, several new children’s playgrounds, a rope track, bobsleigh track, tennis courts, dogs’ play area etc.
On the other side of the hotel is the Sazka Arena building, built on the occasion of organizing the World Ice-Hockey Championship in Prague in 2004 and these days, it is often used for various international cultural as well as sporting events.
At the beginning of 2008, a modern shopping centre will open next to the town hall, approximately 500 m from the hotel.
